Trying not to single out just the good or bad shops. How do you feel about the industry as one? Do you feel like there is an overwhelming trying attempt to make it better for all or do you feel like we are stalemate? Is it just becoming the same ol' story with little change in works?

Thanks

I think it is much better. As time passes we start weeding out the bad places and the solid books gain publicity everyday. Here are my top eleven places currently in no partcular order

Hey General,
I feel off shore wagering is great. There are good and bad books everywhere! Over here there are small books who pay slow also. You just have to weed out the bad ones! There are so many books overseas, with so many affiliated with each other! Are the same owners using many different names to get your action ?I've never had problems collecting offshore in the 12 years I'm dealing with them! I'm not a big better only a nickel or so and really never keep more than a dime or two in my accounts. All in all the offshore industry has upgraded and keeps trying to upgrade on a daily basis! Thats a good sign! Where over here can you bet a game at midnight?? Most offices close at 8 or 9!Unless your book carries a cell phone & if thats the case he can't be to big!! I'm happy dealing offshore especially having your money upfront! Its to easy to put 50 cents in a phone & bet 4 or 5 thousand you don't have! Thank god for offshore for me,lol!

A lot like strip clubs really.

Some look really cool from the outside, all flashy and eyecatching. Then, you get inside, and it's nothing but a bunch of skanky, toothless crackheads. So, you just spend a little cash to avoid hurting anyones feelings, throw a bunch of Trojans on the stage to warn newcommers, then shove your wallet down your pants, and run for the exit.

Then you have the places that, from the outside, seem kinda plain, dull, and not very noticeable. Once inside though, it's like you hit the H.I.P. jackpot, and spend hours and hours checking out all the hoochies. Amazed at the variety of wood poppers they have to offer.
You dump a bundle of cash, don't ever want to leave, and keep calling all your H.I.P. buddies, telling them they need to check it out for themselves.

ROTF, very good one. Hey did you get that acct. info that I emailed you?

General, good thread imo. There is obviously a wide range of shops. You have your outright stiff books then you have your elite books on the other end of the spectrum.

The very worst of the worst books are pretty easy to stay away from if you have any access to Offshore news. Believe it or not, I would have posted up at plenty of shady books before I found the Rx. I have posted up with SBG, Wall St., books that are not the greatest. So what am I saying? I am saying that these books that pay 90% of the time will continue to exist--they would likely exist even if all books were strictly regulated. These "almost legit" books that pay 90-95% of the time will forever taint the industry.

Domestic regulations scare me, though I otherwise feel comfortable playing with any of the shops on The Rx homepage. However, from the standpoint of the less informed/sophisticated consumer, the offshore industry is a mystery and many will get taken advantage of.

There is no question that The Rx improves the industry. The RX has the potential of creating TRUST between the sportsbook/player that could not otherwise be fostered. Yes it is possible to create trust through years of dealing with a sportsbook, but that experience will be so costly to a player that it is not a practical option.

In sum, the I feel comfortable playing offshore but am bothered by domestic regulations. For those consumers who do not have access to The Rx or other reliable source of information, the offshore industry is a risky hit or miss.

Life is a little less boring with it around. Even with all its pitfalls, overall it is a plus in my book!

Good luck inthe contest general.
I can see you are still standing.

I love it and I find it unreal to have your computer a built in sports and racebook in real time right in front of you in color and can be at 10 hotels at once monitoring lines.. Way better than being in vegas. Also money is very safe in most books.

I think the offshore wagering overall is pretty good. Like most sports bettors, I would change the way they do a few things but overall it's good. I think over time the large, reputable books will simply overwhelm the smaller ones. That's good for funds security but bad for variety as far a shopping prices goes.

The one major change I would like to see is the total elimination of bonuses. I would rather see the books offer lower juice and pick up the fees on payouts. Giving bonuses isn't really very good business. They should be trying at attract gamblers, not bonus whores.

I just have to say, that living in Florida, and all of my life being very interested in sports, for years I always wished that if I just woke up one day here and there , and said, "you know what, I wanna bet on so and so team today".......that it would be possible, and since Florida, as well as the govt. as a whole are jerks and cowardly of one another to stand up against each other to create a change, I know have that chance thanks to offshore books.
